The
Anglican Church International Communion (ACIC) is a confederation
of autonomous Anglican churches in full Communion with each other.
This
Church declares itself to be a part of the One Holy Catholic and
Apostolic Church. Its mission includes rendering mutual support
and fostering strength among Anglican jurisdictions where God has
provided opportunities.
ACIC
is of Anglican doctrine, discipline and worship; adhering to the
historical, basic requirements of traditional Anglicanism. This
Church consists of congregations in communion with bishops, who
have been admitted on the basis of their legitimate standing within
an Anglican jurisdiction. Each Jurisdiction of ACIC communes with
other jurisdictions, sharing mutual recognition in all respects.
However, each jurisdiction remains independent with full rights
to self-governance.
Since
its founding in 2001, ACIC has grown to include 18
Bishops and their respective jurisdictions from around the globe.
The Anglican Church International Communion invites interested Anglican
jurisdictions to consider the many benefits of affiliation with
ACIC. Please feel free to contact
the current Presiding Bishop for answers to any questions you might
have and for specifics regarding submittal of your application for
membership.
