St. James Anglican Church

St. James Anglican Church is a small, traditional Anglican parish located in the heart of Sandy Springs, Georgia -- a suburb of Atlanta. Our services are governed by the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. We are here for those seeking a traditional worship experience based in the solemn beauty and dignity of the Anglican tradition. For more about what it means to be an Anglican, including our core beliefs, click here.

Our congregation is a diverse mix of Christians bound by common beliefs, a shared appreciation for the Christian fellowship our parish provides and a mutual committment to preserving the beautiful language and solemn dignity of traditional Anglican rituals. Some of us are former Episcopalians; others are Anglicans from around the world.

St. James Church was founded in 1974. Our building is a converted farmhouse dating from the 1860's sited on a beautiful, park-like setting in what is now Sandy Springs. We are a small parish, with a special talent for making visitors feel at home. Although we lack the resources to provide the myriad programs and activities of our larger neighbors, we are very proud of our emerging work, including programs reaching out to victims of domestic abuse.

We welcome all visitors, including Episcopalians who long for traditional Anglicanism. We hope you will join us for Holy Communion Sunday mornings at 8:30 A.M., Morning Prayer or Holy Communion at 11:00 A.M. and Evensong Sundays at 6:00 P.M.
